Top 10 Dangerous Foods Which You Thought Are Healthy



I know most of us are very much aware of foods which are healthy and which are not. The question here I would like to ask is, have you ever turned the packet of your favorite food and checked its nutritional label and ingredients list to see what it is made of? If your answer is “Yes” then well and good if not maybe you should start paying attention to these things as you are buying such things with your hard earned money and I can bet you will never pay anyone to harm yourself. I did some research and I realized many of the food items which are labeled and marketed as healthy products, few of them, in fact, is the deadliest one. 

So here is the list of Top ten food which you thought are healthy but trust me they are not. 

1. Products labeled as diet, low sugar or sugar-free.

Many companies since they know most of us are becoming more concerned about our health their management gurus derived a very nice formula for taking advantage of this awareness. They started labeling their product as reduced sugar or diet friendly and some, in fact, mentioned it as sugar-free. Looking at this many of us we blindly buy many of these products. Most of these products have artificial sweeteners such as sucralose, aspartame, and acesulfame-K. Problem with these is that they make your body crave even more sweets. The major drawback of these artificial sweeteners is that it prevents our body’s ability to make out when it has consumed too much of calories as a result of which you end up eating even more. If possible please food with artificial sweetener as much as possible.

2.Tuna Fish.

Now you must be thinking dude are you serious. I know fish is considered as one of the healthiest food but the problem with the tuna fish is the “mercury” which this fish absorbs. Many doctors recommend pregnant ladies and children not to eat tuna because once mercury is inside you it could pass through kidney to your brain and could mess up with your whole system. So watch out.

3. Packed Sprouts.

We all love sprouts and by now you must be telling this guy has no idea what he is talking about. But what if I when we buy sprouts from a store, we have no idea how old they could be and just to inform you sprouts have great ability to grow dangerous bacteria in just a few days if not handled properly. I would rather recommend you to make your sprouts at home and try to eat them fresh.

4. Your favorite salted nuts.

Even I once upon a time was the victim of this. I use to think rather than having a packet of potato chips let’s have a packet of roasted and salted nuts which I later realized how foolish I was all these days. I know it happens to the best of us. They are high in sodium content, hydrogenated oils artificial flavors, seasoning, colors and are also really high in calories. Think twice before adding this to your diet. Instead, you could roast peanuts at home and with a hint of lime and Himalayan pink salt you can enjoy the unbeatable taste.

5.Your favorite packet of cereals such as corn flakes etc. 

This is one of those food items which are highly labeled as healthy and many of us serve this as breakfast to our loved ones. Check their label and you will be surprised many of the branded cereals are high in fructose corn syrup and have genetically modified organisms or GMOs. Which are foods produced from organisms that have had changes introduced into their DNA using the methods of genetic engineering? Do you still think cereals are good and healthy?

6.Tandoori Chicken.

I wish I could erase this off. But I cannot lie to my readers. Well, this is one of my favorites too. However, the problem is when animal-based protein is cooked at high temperature or directly over a gas or charcoal grill it develops a kind of chemical which put your health at a great risk of certain type of cancer. On the other hand, slow cooked chickens are the tastiest and the healthiest one if you are not putting them directly in contact with the high heat flame.

7. Your favorite can of diet soda.

This one here needs no introduction I hope you guys are aware that most of the diet sodas have artificial sweetener i.e. aspartame which is a neurotoxin. They have artificial colors and flavors with zero nutritional value. Definitely a bad investment.

8. Chicken & Eggs (Which comes from non-organic farms).

Whenever I think of this one it reminds me of “Breaking Bad TV Series” because there is really some crazy things going on in non-organic chicken farms. It was found recently chickens are given the banned antibiotic, Tylenol and arsenic. For now, safest way out will be to switch to organic eggs and chicken to avoid salmonella infections.

9. The bread which has potassium bromate in its ingredients.

Potassium bromate is linked to certain cancers and also banned in many countries. Still many big bread manufacturing companies they use this potassium bromate and claim their bread to be freshly made. While purchasing bread look at their ingredients label and check for this banned substance make sure it is not there before making the purchase.

10. Ready-made microwave popcorn bag.

These could be highly dangerous and could act as one of the slow poison. Most of the microwave popcorn bags have PFOS i.e. perfluorooctane sulfonic acid which could affect fertility and put you at great risk of cancer. They are also full of artificial flavor to make them taste buttery. Many big brands they add MSG and Trans-fat which could cause a headache and respiratory damage. So a big no-no for this one.
